I was lucky enough to attend a Lark Wedding workshop at the gorgeous Black Friars Medieval Priory, short-listed as one of the best historic venues in the UK. The venue was very unique and beautiful. It has been very well maintained and complimented with contemporary designs, filled with gorgeous little pockets of light and vintage brick. It made me feel like we had been transported to a romantic and elegant elopement in Italy that oozed elegance and luxe detail.
The table setting was filled with details to die for. There were flowers that draped whimsically down the cobbled brick, small slabs of stone for name places, dried floral stems attentively sat in concrete, brass candlesticks with a thoughtfully picked pink wax, lots of earthy tones and textures, handmade ceramics and vintage glass. Every little detail had been thought out and considered.
My favourite part of the day was the dress reveal. Christine walked in wearing a BERTA wedding dress which screamed sophistication and elegance. It felt like we were watching a real-life fairy tale come to life. It was honestly B-R-E-A-T-H-T-A-K-I-N-G, the dress of dreams for sure. The hairstyle, a low ponytail with soft curls, complemented and finished this gorgeous look.
The other model, Rosi, wore a Costarello wedding dress that was equally as beautiful. I really loved the amount of detail, the lace and the sheer bodice were so delicate and romantic. This was coupled with the Emmy London Florence Ivory shoe which complimented it perfectly.
I really loved the use of real and authentic couples during this workshop. I was able to get to know the backstories of each couple and got to watch their love story unfold in front of the lens. I enjoyed every second of the workshop, it was great to be in such a gorgeous venue surrounded by so many creatives together in one place. Anyone that’s missing shooting weddings or, just fancy letting loose and being creative, I would definitely recommend this workshop for you.
