I had soooo much fun at Amy and Dom’s elopement in Sheffield. When they contacted me about photographing their big day I was honestly obsessed with their amazing ideas. A huge colourful celebration in the gorgeous Chimney House, I told them HELL YES let’s do it!!!

The venue is located in the heart of Sheffield City Centre on the historic waterway on Kelham Island. It is full of green living plants, log-burning stoves, fireside armchairs and views of the waterway. The perfect boho backdrop to anyone’s wedding photos.

Their day was super laid back and chilled. Amy & Dom opted for an intimate day with few guests. Even though their guest list was short, their day was definitely not short on style, colour and Sass. They thought of every detail too including gorgeous floral arrangements, as well as pink dip-dyed pampas grass, confetti cannons, candles, velvet banners, sweet tables and all the dreamy decor you could wish for.

Amy and Dom wanted to do their couple portraits in Sheffield City Centre, which I loved. A lot of couples feel the need to hire an elaborate, fancy venue on their wedding day because they think this is the only way to ensure their photos have a gorgeous scenic backdrop. As awesome as this is, there is so much magic in using the industrial surrounding of the city centre and just getting some couple portraits that are a little bit different to what’s expected. The great thing about Sheffield is that it’s a super colourful city with lots of quirky and artistic graffiti. We walked around the city with a bag full of smoke bombs and just had fun in the glorious summer sun.
