When Esther and Rob got in contact and advised me they were tieing the knot in their back garden at Middle House Farm, I was super excited and thought it was such a cute idea. They advised that they wanted a really laidback and non-traditional day, with an outdoor ceremony and lots of colour and good vibes which fits my style to a tee. I couldn’t wait to find out more.
The day started at a local Airbnb where Esther and her bridesmaids got ready for the big day ahead. The Airbnb was huge and had lots of space for photos. The garden was amazing and had a beautiful view. The scenery brought the colour and greenery to the backdrop of the shots that they were looking for. I always like to advise my couples that if you want pictures during bridal/groom prep, the ideal setting is a location that is bright and airy and, if possible, a little trendy, with great spots for getting those key morning photos.
I finished with the photos of the girls getting ready and having fun toasting with their morning prosecco. We then grabbed a few group shots of everyone together before making my way over to the ceremony.
I was blown away by Esther & Robโs HUGEEE and STUNNING back garden! They had me in awe at the way they had thought of all the little touches too. They had little signs, colourful bunting and fabric running through the garden leading up to the ceremony space. Esther & Rob had chosen the perfect location to have their ceremony, surrounded by beautiful plants, flowers and trees.ย
As you can imagine, an outdoor ceremony in the UK is always a risk. But, I’m happy to announce that it was September and the gamble paid off. The weather was glorious and they couldn’t have asked for anything better. Honestly, I LOOOVED IT! Outdoor ceremonies are totally my vibe!!!!
Once everyone was seated, the bride and bridesmaids started to arrive. What I absolutely loved about this wedding was the bridesmaid’s dresses. They wore a beautiful burnt orange, long flowy dress, which brought an autumnal colour palette to a summers day. I also loved that Estherโs two brothers hosted the day acting as their celebrants.
When the ceremony finished, I started to organise two huge lines for the confetti moment.ย As I recommended, the couple used super colourful ‘Proper Confetti’ that just popped in their photos. Esther & Rob waved their arms and bouquets in the air and celebrated their first moments as a married couple.
The after-party was on another level too. Esther & Rob had made their very own mini-festival themed garden party… It was insane! The garden was split up into different sections with a drinks and appetisers area, a DIY photo booth with colourful props and garlands, food trucks with hot meals, a DIY chill out area with cushions, pillows, free flip flops and blankets and it was all surrounding a gorgeous tipi where they held their reception, decorated with surfboards and pictures of their travels. They honestly thought of everything.
It was such a beautiful bohemian wedding day and I absolutely loved being a part of it.
