Lucy was a Grade A contributor, before on and after our wedding day! She goes above and beyond her responsibilities to make you feel at ease on your day. She listens to your creative expectations and delivers ten fold!!

She carried out tasks for us and our family without us even having to ask, putting the bouquets in water in the evening, arranging my dress when the bridal party were nowhere to be seen. She’s the kindest and most professional of all of the people we worked with by far. She keeps in contact throughout the wedding planning process and is always on hand for any queries you may have.

Lucy has a passion not just for photography but for capturing memories that last a lifetime. She has a talent for being insightful enough to photograph the ‘quieter’ and more intimate moments of the day so beautifully. Lucy was recommended to Laurie and I which just goes to show that others share in our belief of her true creativity

Emma & Lawrence got married at the beautiful Eyam Hall.

From the moment I stepped into the historic hall, I was obsessed!!! Not only does Eyam Hall have the most gorgeous vintage interior, but the English gardens surrounding the venue were absolutely stunning.

I arrived early for bridal prep, which took place in the bridal dressing room at Eyam Hall. The morning was a family affair, an intimate and special time shared with her sister, mum, and nieces. During their pre-wedding call, Emma & Lawrence told me about their love for details and interiors, so the first thing I did was begin capturing this. I always start the day by photographing all the little details like the flowers, the dress, the shoes, the rings and basically anything important that will be part of the day. Eyam Hall was the perfect backdrop for these detail shots, and I was overwhelmed by all the beautiful settings.

Emma also shared that she wanted to do a first look with her dad, so once she was ready and we had taken some bridal portraits, I told her to head downstairs, where I had her dad waiting for the first look in Eyam Hall’s English gardens. First looks are becoming insanely popular, and I offer them to all my couples because I think it’s such a sweet moment to capture. Once we had done the first look, we then headed over to the church to begin the day.

The ceremony took place at the Church of All Saints, Hassop. This was probably one of the most beautiful churches I have ever been to, and throughout the entire ceremony, the light streaming through the stained glass windows was pure magic. The whole ceremony had a sweet and intimate feel, with a gospel choir singing hymns as they walked down the aisle. One of the moments Emma and Lawrence were most excited for was the confetti moment, so once the ceremony was finished, I headed outside to help organise the guests and ensure everyone had plenty of confetti.

When the ceremony was over and the happy couple had greeted all their guests, it was time to head back to Eyam Hall to start the celebrations. As we arrived, we were greeted by a staff member handing out prosecco, ready to welcome the couple to their cocktail hour in Eyam Hall’s English gardens. As we walked into the gardens, we were met with an orchestra playing Elbow: One Day Like This. The gardens were the most magical setting for a post-wedding drinks reception, the perfect space for mingling, photographs, and playing lawn games.

After a lovely drinks reception in the walled gardens of Eyam Hall, it was time to head inside for the wedding breakfast. Another one of my favourite moments to capture is the speeches before the meal. I just find it such a great time to get candid guest shots and truly capture the atmosphere of the day.

All in all, the day was absolutely magical. It was my first-ever wedding at Eyam Hall, and I really do hope it won’t be my last!
