A Stunning Venue for Your Wedding: Stephannie and Lee got married at the gorgeous West Tower in Ormskirk, Lancashire. They wanted a relaxed day, filled with fun and laughter, and their day did not disappoint.
The day began with groom preparations at their home, where the boys were picked up in a stunning cream campervan. The groom and his best men, dressed in charming tweed suits, looked super autumnal. When I spoke to Stephannie and Lee prior to the day, they requested to have photographs during the morning celebrations, but nothing too posey and as relaxed as possible, which is my vibe to a T so I couldn’t have been happier.
The day began with groom preparations at their home, where the boys were picked up in a stunning cream campervan. I took this opportunity to capture some candid moments of the groom and his best men enjoying their ride to the venue, and also some great exterior shots of the campervan and its autumnal surroundings.
I had the boys walk around, toast to the day ahead, talk about their memories from the stag, and enjoy a sip from their hip flasks. This allowed me to capture natural and candid moments between the groomsmen as they celebrated the upcoming wedding.
I then went to West Tower, where Stephannie was getting ready in the onsite bridal suites. This was the part of the day where I fell in love.
Firstly, the stunning bridesmaids’ dresses. One thing I absolutely love is anything autumnal and more importantly anything in burnt orange. The pop of colour adds so much sass to the photo. Not only were they burnt orange, they were velvet, the perfect combination.
One of my favourite parts of the mornings is getting the detail shots of the dress, the flowers and the shoes. I love spending time finding the perfect place to hang the dress and the place with the best lighting to photograph the flowers. I know that my couples spend so much time picking out these items for their wedding day and want them to have gorgeous photos to remember and treasure these items by. One thing I love to photograph and it’s not always something that I get to photograph, it depends on the timings of the day. The bride in her dress, sat down with her shoes holding her flowers.
My tip to all future couples is to get ready 30 minutes early so you have time to get all your bridal prep shots. We were unable to get these shots as the bridesmaids were late to get ready, so instead we got some gorgeous detailed shots later in the day.
Stephannie and Lee opted for a church wedding, so once everyone was dressed we headed over to the church to start the celebrations. The weather was gorgeous, sun in the sky and all the autumnal colours of the trees and the leaves on the floor just gave the whole morning a magical feel.
A Luxurious and Sassy Setting: The hall at West tower where the reception was being held was dressed beautifully, a huge pampas arch and lots of pampas bunches were scattered all around giving the wedding day that luxury sassy feel.
The cake had colourful hand pressed flowers on, for a cake it looked so delicate and feminine, I was obsessed!!
The magician, I absolutely love when couples.include a magician in there day, I always say to couples if you want.me to Photograph all the natural fun moments from there day, there needs to be natural fun moments to photograph. The magician is such a perfect way to provide entertainment for your guests and just bring a super fun relaxed exciting atmosphere.
